The Alliance for Stabilizing Our Communities- a nonprofit partnership including New Economics for Women, Los Angeles Urban League and Asian Pacific and Policy Council will host a home rescue fair June 27 from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM at Panorama High School, 8015 Van Nuys Blvd., Panorama City,  to help families facing foreclosure in the Los Angeles Area identify and procure the best housing solutions possible.  Families at risk of foreclosure will benefit from one-on-one sessions with loan specialists, HUD approved housing counselors and attorneys, foreclosure prevention workshops and in-language assistance.  In order for counselors to best serve attendees, homeowners will need to bring a series of documents with them, including:

-             Current pay stubs (within the last 30 days)

-          2007 and 2008 income-tax returns

-         Three months of bank statements

-             Household expense budget

-             Copy of closing documents and most recent correspondence from your mortgage company

-            Most recent property-insurance and mortgage statements

Interviews available upon request with representatives from all participating organizations. For more information contact: Janna Hughes, Emanate at (212) 805-8041  or email:

The Alliance for Stabilizing our Communities is a national partnership of the National Urban League (NUL), National Council of La Raza (NCLR), the National Coalition for Asian Pacific American Community Development (National CAPACD) and their local affiliates, all working with national nonprofit housing leaders and Bank of America to bring hands-on counseling services to local markets through home rescue fairs.
