The Bahamas Ministry Of Tourism and Aviation (BMOTA) is the recipient of three awards for its excellent marketing and communications efforts. BMOTA was awarded the MarCom Platinum Award, an Hermes Platinum Award and The Communicator’s Award of Excellence for the Ebony pre-Oscar Party.

The MarCom Awards and Hermes Creative Awards, both administered and judged by the Association of Marketing & Communication Professionals, are international creative competitions that recognize outstanding achievement by marketing and communications professionals. The MarCom Awards has grown into perhaps the largest of its kind in the world. MarCom Platinum Award and Hermes Creative Award winners are honored for their excellence in terms of quality, creativity and resourcefulness.

The Communicator Awards is an international awards competition that distinguishes outstanding works in the communication field. Industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves a benchmark for the industry judge entries. The Communicator Award of Excellence is presented to entrants whose ability to communicate makes them the best in their field.

“We are proud to receive such a high honor from organizations that set the standard for excellence in the industry,” said Anita I. Johnson-Patty, general manager of communications (The Americas), BMOTA. “We are privileged to work with a team that consists of our staff and agencies that work together to develop materials that relay the message and brand of the Bahamas.”

Recognized for its décor and theme, BMOTA made an impression at the Ebony Magazine pre-Oscar party. Partygoers were treated to Bahamian culture by the Junkaroo festival dancers, a colorful ensemble of costumed performers dancing to the rhythmic accompaniment of cowbells, drums, and whistles.

“It’s always wonderful to be honored and recognized for the work we do for our clients by our peers in the industry,” said Kim L. Hunter, president/CEO of LaGrant Communications.”

The Bahamas is a popular vacation destination for many all year round. For more information about the islands, visit The Bahamas Ministry Of Tourism and Aviation at www.bahamas.com or call toll-free 1-800-BAHAMAS.
