For 30 years, Los Angeles County Employees have supported the Brotherhood Crusade and thousands of organizations through payroll deduction and cash contributions. “The County’s Charitable Giving Campaign raises funds to help low-income men, women and children across the County,” said Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky. “Our campaign partners, including the Brotherhood Crusade, continue to give back to the community.”

Since its inception in 1968, the Brotherhood Crusade has operated without federal government funds. “We believed then, as now, that residents are best able to determine and meet the needs of their own communities,” said President and CEO Charisse Bremond Weaver. Monies raised through the annual fall campaign go directly to local agencies.

“County employees give generously to help children and families in need,” said CEO Bill Fujioka, adding “the campaign carries out our mission to enrich lives through effective and caring service.”

The Brotherhood Crusade is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit institution founded in 1968 to provide necessary resources, program services and a voice of advocacy to traditionally underserved communities. Their mission is to remove and/or help individuals overcome the barriers that deter their pursuit of success and facilitate opportunities for a better quality of life, by promoting health and wellness, enhancing educational opportunities, cultivating economic growth and building community agencies and institutions.

If you would like to make a contribution to the Brotherhood Crusade, please send your tax-deductible gift to: Brotherhood Crusade, 200 E. Slauson Avenue, Los Angeles, CA. 90011. Visit the website www.brotherhoodcrusade.org.
