Actors Jamal “Herculeez” Mixon of The Nutty Professor I and II starring Eddie Murphy and brother Jerrod “Big Tyme” Mixon of “Me, Myself and Irene,” starring James Carrey hosted program to a filled to capacity audience, catered by Delights by Lionel. Michael Itaev, founder of Rainbow Children’s Academy receives recognition from Councilman Mike Gipson’s office for his outstanding work in the community. Rainbow Children’s Academy will be expanding to numerous schools in Southern California in 2008.

In 2006, Rainbow Children’s Academy opened its doors in Inglewood and already has a lengthy waiting list. The Academy’s groundbreaking curriculum program for toddlers (18 to 30 months old) and pre-schoolers (2 to 6 years old) have taken center stage and includes arts and crafts, computer lab, reading readiness, science and math, social studies, field trips, story time, language arts, dramatic plays, music and dance, celebrations, circle time homework and more.

“The academy is a community-based, educational institute that caters to the needs of the communities that offer a solid educational experience and encourages children to participate in its culturally enriched programs,” says Founder and Project Manager, Michael Itaev.
