New Orleans native Noel Foucher, who is currently vice-president and one of only four members of the Bakewell Company’s executive management team, has been appointed by the company’s founder and CEO, Danny J. Bakewell, Sr. (another New Orleans native) as the company’s executive in charge of New Orleans.

Foucher will head the company’s recent acquisition of WBOK Radio and all future business interests in Louisiana. Currently, he oversees the management of many Bakewell Company real estate holdings throughout California and now has been pegged to add to his management portfolio, the Bakewell Company Media holdings and all future business interests in Louisiana.

“Noel is a seasoned and valued executive and has been an intricate part of the company’s growth since its inception 25 years ago,” Bakewell said. “We know we can rely on his knowledge, experience and demonstrated resourcefulness to drive our most recent acquisition to its maximum earning potential and to do whatever is necessary to make the Bakewell Company a major force in helping the restore the quality of life for so many Black families and small businesses that have been displaced.

“I trust Noel’s business judgment implicitly,” he continued, “and I have no doubt that his leadership, expertise and loyalty to the Bakewell Company coupled with his knowledge and love of New Orleans, will serve both the company and New Orleans residents well. He is not only a valued executive, but my most trusted friend.”

When Foucher found out about the appointment, he was “excited and gratified” as he felt that his professional career had now come full circle.

“I remembered that I first came to California at the invitation of my good friend Danny Bakewell to pursue new opportunities for myself and my family,” Foucher said, “Now here I am, 25 years later, getting another opportunity of a lifetime and one that I’m confident I can perform and I’m enthused to pursue because New Orleans is home. What a great day, this is for me.”

He added: “I am committed and will do everything possible to move the Bakewell Company forward. It has been a great experience working with Danny and I thank him for having the trust and confidence in me to take on this challenge. I’m confident without reservation that I will surpass all expectations in making our new acquisition of WBOK Radio station and all other business interests in Louisiana a solid success.”
