Let me start by saying that if you don't want to hear Godly truth in all its "gory" detail, you might want to read some other material. I won't think any less of you, I promise. Now, for those who can handle the truth of what the Bible really says about same-sex unions, I'm about to take the gloves off to further demonstrate Black culture and the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community are worlds apart. A word of caution though: the material presented here is not for the weak-kneed or fainthearted. You're about to go "undercover," embarking upon a behind-the-scenes foray into the sinful, sordid world of gay and lesbian sex. Again, enter at your own risk! God specifically targeted the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah because of homosexual activity. (Gen. 18:20, 21; 19:24, 28) Instead of using HIV/AIDS, he nuked them. He used a purging fire to eradicate homosexuals and their diseases. What diseases you ask?
SORDID SCIENCE: Aside from HIV/AIDS there is a laundry list of "gay" (and later "lesbian") diseases that most don't know about, and that the Sodomites, et al probably had. For your reading pleasure, here are a few: hepatitis, anorectal candidiasis, rectal and oral gonorrhea, lymphogranuloma venereum, trichomoniasis, syphilis, parasitic infections, Kaposi's sarcoma, liver infections, Bowen's disease, thrash (yeast infection), toxoplasmosis (brain infection), cryptococcal meningitis, swollen lymph nodes, night sweats, shingles, seborrheic dermatitis, prostatitis, urethritis, scabies, and venereal warts. Oh, I almost forgot. Fecal incontinence. "What manner of evil might this be?" you ask? "Repeated rectal sodomy and/or 'fisting' (insertion of the fist and forearm into the rectum) causes a weakening of the sphincter muscle of the recipient. This produces an embarrassing dribbling of fecal secretions at inappropriate times. Wearing adult sanitary undergarments helps alleviate staining clothing and furniture." I won't share the gross stuff with you. It's no wonder, then, that under the "crime against nature" entry in Webster's Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary, it says one word: sodomy.
A SICK PSYCHE: Science and the Bible converge, yet again, this time with respect to the mental state of members of the LGBT community. Romans 1:28 says: "God gave [homosexuals] over to a base and condemned mind to do things not proper or decent but loathsome." (Amplified Bible) Another translation reads: "[Homosexuals] didn't think it was important to know God. So God let them go. He allowed them to have dirty minds. They did things they shouldn't do." (New International Reader's Version) Homosexuality was listed as a mental disorder by the Board of Directors of the American Psychiatric Association in their bible, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) until 1973 when the powerful LGBT community flexed its political muscle and had it removed. Since Jehovah God gave homosexuals over to a "dirty," debased, "condemned mind," even the gay lobby couldn't get ego-dystonic homosexuality (hating one's own "gayness") from being listed in DSM-III (1980) as a mental disorder. Their mental anguish is inescapable. Societal "homophobia" is the cause you say? "Same-sex marriages are loving relationships," you insist? Pah-leese.
"While the homosexual couples I have known have usually struggled to maintain a loving and enduring relationship," confesses Williams Carroll, a gay writer, as quoted in a 1976 publication, "very often these 'marriages' turned out to be tumultuous affairs, with each partner seeking a position of dominance in the relationship. Because of emotional conflicts, and various societal stresses and strains, most such love affairs do not last very long--six months to two years is probably the average." Domestic violence among gay men is particular heinous and cruel as compared to their heterosexual counterparts. Oh, and let's not leave out lesbians. Law enforcement agencies are struggling with a new phenomenon. "Butch" lesbians who physically abuse "lipstick" lesbians can easily penetrate the defenses of women's shelters where victims seek refuge since they, too, are women. The original purpose of the shelters was to provide safe haven for women abused by men.
GAYS PLAY 'GOD': Trying to impose their will on the Black community doesn't stop at attempting to force the Biblical marriage template on same-sex unions. Further efforts are being made to redefine the concept of "family." Quick story. Not being content with the idea of gay adoption, Frank and Bob wanted to have their own child. So what did they do? Through artificial insemination Frank inseminated Bob's sister, who agreed to the arrangement. Nine months later she had 'their' baby. The child now has Frank and Bob's bloodlines/DNA. True story.
BLACK (MIS)BEHAVIOR: Self control is virtuous. The best thing we can do as a community to fight HIV/AIDS is to behave. While Africans, African Americans, and African descendants in the Diaspora are becoming infected with HIV/AIDS at alarming rates and dropping dead like flies primarily due to sexual contact, there are no recorded cases of deaths attributed to abstinence. Ponder that. Gay or straight, the best protection against HIV/AIDS is either abstinence or monogamy. Granted, when it comes to same-sex unions, famous Blacks like Audre Lorde, Octavia Butler, Bayard Rustin, Barbara Jordan, Johnny Mathis, Countee Cullen, Ma Rainey, Josephine Baker, Billie Holiday, James Baldwin, Langston Hughes, Bessie Smith and others may come to mind. But few if any of them are on record as insisting on same-sex marriage.
Regarding HIV and Africans in America just this week CNN reported: "Around the world, a staggering 2.7 million people were infected in 2007 alone. Globally, 33 million people are living with HIV infection, most of them in the developing world. In the United States, more than 1 million people are living with HIV. And 56,000 more people are infected each year in the U.S., driving HIV prevalence rates in some of our communities to levels that rival those seen in sub-Saharan Africa. Gay and bisexual men, and African-Americans in general, are disproportionately affected. The true ground zero of the HIV epidemic in the United States is in those communities." (Emphasis mine.)
Several years ago Cleo Manago, a prominent gay Black activist, and I were guests for several weeks on KPFK's Tuesday Live! hosted by Earl Ofari Hutchinson. King David's "love" for Jonathan was broached. (2 Sam. 1:26) However, when translated from the Hebrew to the Greek, agape (principled love) is used in this text, not eros (or "erotic") love. No gay love there. Besides, when a man fornicates with a woman he's 'sinning against his own body' (1 Cor. 6:18), whereas when he fornicates with another man he's sinning against nature. (Rom 1:26, 27)
PUNKS & POLITICS: Members of the LGBT community further offend us by saying that we tend to side with the ultra right-wing Republican Party when it comes to the issue of gay marriage. "After all," I've been told, "the Republican Party freed the slaves and you guys still have a connection." Well, last I checked African culture outdates the Republican Party by thousands of years. The comparison is quintessentially anachronistic. We started out against same-sex unions. And for the record, as one former slave said, God gave us our freedom when we were born. The Devil used the White man to steal it. 'I ain't thanking the White man for a damn thang,' said the freed slave. Amen.
Word for the Week (or is it "Weak"?): immutable: Not capable of changing. Usage: "While there are homosexuals and lesbians who say they're straight now, being of African descent is immutable."
Dr. Carr: Yes, yes and yes. There are many ways of spreading aids. 1. The African methods of animal rituals etc. 2. Bi-sexuals man and women could contribute. 3. Homosexual anal sex without protection (the chocolate factory). Basically nasty hyglene is also a factor.

I looked up "crime against nature" in Webster's. There's no listing.
However, under "hate crime" is says this: "A hate crime (bias crime), loosely defined, is a crime committed because of the perpetrator's prejudices. This is a controversial political issue within the US. The US Congress (HR 4797 - 1992) defined a hate crime as: "[a crime in which] the defendant's conduct was motivated by hatred, bias, or prejudice, based on the actual or perceived race, color, religion, national origin, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation of another individual or group of individuals." In 1994, the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act added disabilities to the above list."
Your loony homophobic rant is right up there with KKK and Aryan Nations bullshit propaganda.

Since the Bible is a male-dominated book lesbians are mentioned only in passing. When mentioned, though, girl-on-girl sex is condemned. (Romans 1:26) You said lesbians don’t get AIDS? Tell that to Elma Colbert, an immediate family member of mine who was an avowed lesbian and who wasted away after contracting the AIDS virus and subsequently died of AIDS-related complications.
“Crime against nature (1828): sodomy” is found on page 307 of Webster’s Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary (1991). If three more people question this on this blog I’ll scan the page, along with the copyright page, and post it on my Web site.
Regarding a “hate crime,” well, I won’t grace this desperation on your part with a response. I say this respectfully. Furthermore, given your gross errors regarding “crime against nature” and lesbians not getting HIV/AIDS, well, it’s doubtful that I’ll respond to you again anyway Mr. Mike Tidmus. I wish you well.

Now that’s some seriously ****** up **** to say not to mention entirely inaccurate and cannot be proved. I don’t know which is worse, racist white gays or Bible thumping homophobes who are intellectually challenged like Dr. Carr.

On your Web site (www.jasmynecannick.com) you’ve given me the dubious honor of earning a rather curious award. Above a photo of me lifted from my Web site (www.firpocarr.com) that has been defaced with horns you write: “This Week’s Negro Please Award Goes to the Man Who Said ‘God Pays Gays With AIDS.’” As professionals, one would think we could disagree without being disagreeable. Actually, you've misrepresented me and my article. The real title of my article is in the form of a question, namely, "God Pays Gays With AIDS?" It should be obvious that it is not a definitive statement. Have you falsely misrepresented me for dramatic purposes? In both this article and the previous one I wrote, “Why Blacks Don’t Like Gays” (November 20-26, 2008) I nowhere state unequivocally that God has punished gays with AIDS.
As you know, I gave you the courtesy of informing you that I was writing on the subject before the articles even came out. Given the fact that you’re a fellow Sentinel columnist I did this as a professional courtesy. I also took into consideration that you, like my daughter, are an avowed lesbian. I must admit that I’m disappointed that you didn’t extend me this same courtesy. I truly am surprised. I didn't know you felt this way about me. Perhaps I’m too sentimental.
As you know, we've recently exchanged emails after you made initial contact with me saying that you wanted me to be a part of the townhall meeting dealing with the subject matter. It seems to me that you would have at least broached the subject with me directly regarding your comments on our difference of opinion, and perhaps then proceed with how you feel about me on your Web site. Well, now I know you don’t operate that way.
And for the record, what was written in the Bible on the matter of same-sex relationships was written long before I was born. You’ve taken aim at the messenger.

Moreover, in your criticism of me you didn't address any of the points I made in the article. You simple sank to the level of name calling. again, disappointing. Very disappointing. Now, I realize that you haven’t been put on this earth to meet my expectations. (That goes without saying.) There are, however, certain expectations that come with the rather impressive positions you’ve held over the years, not the least of which is being a responsible commentator.
Your comments, lifted from your Web site, have been placed on the Sentinel Web site under the article in question. I welcome any further comments you may have. Hopefully embodied therewith will be verbiage having some semblance of constructive, sustentative criticism.

Please, since you've brought in your avowed lesbian relative, tell us how Emma contracted AIDS. Did she get it from lesbian sex or was it contracted in many of the other ways? How many avowed lesbians are in your family anyway? Thanksgiving at your house must be something.
But again...since you seem to imagine AIDS is a gay-only disease provided by God to punish those evil gays, why did it start in Africa, with non-homosexuals and why does it still kill more non-gay Africans than homosexuals?
