Don’t trip on that one point loss by the Lakers to the lowly Kings. The Lakers have played at a high-octane level since they’ve signed Pau Gasol, but the lack of consistent depth is hurting the purple people.

Now all of a sudden USC looks as dangerous a team as there is in the country. They should be with OJ Mayo certain to leave after his freshman season and Tim Floyd probably bolting for the LSU job after the season the only thing that will keep Floyd in Trojansville is a big run in the Pac 10 and NCAA tournament.

I’m not rolling with an overrated Washington State team as a high NCAA seed and I’d be shocked if more than four teams from the Pac- 10 get into the tourney.
