Lets commemorate the 40 Year Anniversary and the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the First Annual Obama-Thon event being held at The Los Angeles Sentinel Newspaper facility located at 3800 Crenshaw Blvd., Los Angeles Ca 90008.

This one of a kind event is being brought to you by KDAY Radio and The Los Angeles Sentinel.  We will broadcast live from Sentinel Headquarters Friday, April 4th from 3p.m. until 7p.m. with KDAY personalities "Tha Goodfellas."

The purpose of the broadcast will be to drive listeners to the KDAY/Los Angeles Sentinel Obama-Thon fundraiser organized by The Los Angeles Sentinel and Barack Obama's political fundraising arm.

Thank you again for being our partners in The Obama-Thon!

And while we commemorate the memory of the beloved Martin Luther King, let us at the same time lift up the memory of the equally beloved multimillionairess and abolitionist, Mary Ellen Pleasants, the godmother of human rights in California despite efforts by her critics to dishonor her legacy.
