The Gentle Giant

Who is this gentle giant? What is it that he does? Well the gentle giant who stands over six feet and prays to god for his mercy is none other than Big U one of the most interesting people that I have met in a long time. This brother left the plantation and hit the ground running. Brothers like this who come out here with a concrete plan are the order of the day out here in these streets.

That is one of the main reasons that I chose this brother to be the second person to appear in what I call the "G" file. I will use this style to highlight the efforts of brothers like Big U who have an influence over some of his tribe's members to get them a better quality of life. Big U from day one has always said yes to me concerning the constant prayer for hood understanding and hood politics.

I really wanted to write about this brother's effort to ensure that every person who can vote will vote. To him gang intervention is cool, but this brother is indeed ready to ask the powers that be, "where is the money?" Once I had a chance to try and talk to the brother between the many phone calls he gets, about his true cure for violence and to my surprise the brother loves football and helping the youth. It broke my heart to see him and his tribe's members online trying to find some place that is safe enough for his youth to train.

These brothers need all of our support in this matter because they know how to help save the masses of their people. Because at one time or another in their life they were also victims of the drama by just having to see their friends and family face the many challenges of living in the hood. Brother, I walk the yard with your dad and he was gentle and a giant as well. So I always knew that one day god would use you to help us rid our world of the poverty and lack of that we face so often. Brother keep doing what you are doing and stay humble out here on these streets like you have been doing. I know that a lot of your efforts toward trying to make a change in your hood is slow and overwhelming but it is worth it in the eyes of God and the babies. Brother I wrote this article not just for you and your family, but it is for the brothers behind the wall who appreciate your efforts, both crips and bloods, and we got your back. But in reality this is your report card to the pen. Where you and I know we have to heed the call of the brothers behind the wall who ordained our efforts in these streets.

My other reason is to allow the brothers, who are thinking about the challenge to change and are still locked up behind the wall, a chance to hear about our work in these streets. Yet, the worthy comrades are serving life in the most oppressive place on earth called the department of corruption. Hannibal may god bless your efforts and the offspring that you breed. "LIL CAT I LOVE YOU HOMIE". JUST HOLD ON GOD IS COMING.
