It's your old (perhaps now former) City of LA colleague Sheryl Thomas (-Perkins now). It's nothing short of amazing for me to have just read your column in the Sentinel, because just a week or two ago I mentioned you to another co-worker and told her I was going to look you up! So, I clearly spoke that into being, and just happened upon a copy of the newspaper while shopping for books and other gifts at Esowon last week. I probably shouldn't mention this, but I just read the paper today, which is when I saw your column, then went to the on-line version of the paper today. (I also saw you on television during the Jackson trial, and wondered how you got that gig.)…I had not gotten all the facts of Rev. Jesse Jackson's ill fated comments about our grand candidate prior to reading your column. Be assured that I will check out your column again and when it's time will respond to you and/or the newspaper more formally in response.
