" I loved this article, and the quote cited by Gordon is right on, We have come along way as a nation but there is still much work to be done. Also we mut not be shy about facing the realities of what is happening in our lives and families and how we deal with ... I am a woman that grew up without really knowing my father. I wish he had been more involved in my life, I thank Ed Gordon for realizing what an important role a father can be in the life of his daughter. His daughter does not have to dream or make up things about her dad because she has a reality experience, Good bad or indifferent her dad thinks enough of her regardless of circumstances to be engaged. This is very important and necessary. I am 56 and my dad is deceased, I did meet him and spend some time with him and I am grateful. But I still long for my dad and the absent years ...
