The level of impact Jordan had on the game of basketball will never be matched. There are lot of factors when comparing players, but this needs no comparison as there is nothing to compare. It is only usually the younger generation's that ever say Kobe is better anyway. They just never had the priviledge to see the Jordan era. It is unanimous with every major sports analyst anyway that Jordan is the best.

The only way Kobe Bryant will surpass Michael Jordan as the G.O.A.T(Greatest of All Time), is to win four more championships, a **** load of M.V.P's, and the list goes on and on. Hands down, M.J. all day. Kobe is great no doubt but he definitely is not better than M.J. Hell, he has to still worry about Lebron on his tail now.

Kobe is a great player and is the best currently playing the game today, but as I see it, you can not compare anyone to Jordan.
During the Jordan era, the NBA was much more competitive with much more talent. Jordan took all on with the help of his team and coaching staff and simply dominated. Remember in the 2008 finals how Boston played Kobe? He had trouble in all but one game getting inside the paint which ultimately cost the Lakers the Championship. Jordan would have never been denied the paint. Take for example the defense of the Pistons on Jordan... Pistons goal was to stop him or take him down each time he goes inside but no matter how many players were on him or how many times he hit the floor Jordan still played his game. The game was much more physical than today and I believe many of today's players are soft.
I read a previous post claiming Kobe's Lakers is the greatest team ever. Come on now, do you really think they can beat Jordan's Bulls?

What would Jordan have done with out Pippen? Dont take away from the man because he had shaq. It is a team game but if you look at skill level the argument still stands. Plus Kobe is still playing. To be continued

'i totally disagree with the proposition that kobe is as great as michael jordan. just look at the statistics, and besides kobe bryant can't win a championship w/o the help of big names in the league, w/ the likes of shaquile o'neal. During their team up kobe byant is just like a small FLY or insect living at the back of o'neal. And now with Pau Gasol. Unlike michael jordan, Jordan doesn't need dominant big man to win a championship. Michael Jordan was great from the start. Kobe. . .! I dont think so. and right now the only player who has the ability to surpass Michael Jordans achievement is 'the king' Lebron James. also lebron is just 24 years old give him a break about winning crowns, He' s still very young and besides MICHAEL JORDAN HAD HIS FIRST RING WHEN HE WAS 29.
