I think a question that has to be asked is "why now?". THe fact that he does this now then mentions his book makes you ask is he being an opportunist. In his speech, Obama refused to throw Wright under the bus. It seems Wright has done just that to Obama. Is it a matter of Wright just speaking the truth? I'm all for the truth but is he saying something that isn't already known?
We can't put anything past the government when it comes to experiments on citizens but what Wright is suggesting has been heard before. If he's got some sort of evidence it's one thing. When people accuse Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton of being opportunists, I counter by saying there is something wrong somewhere which is why they're in front of the camera. Why is Wright pulling a Kobe and going in front of every mic available?
