Interesting Newz. A reporter on Keith Olbermann's Countdown said pretty much the same thing except he formed it as envy for the spotlight. I think thats too simplistic, especially since the comments are almost a decade old and it wasn't as if a bunch of "Old Guard" Civil Rightians jumped up to defend Wright.
I do agree with the generational tide needing to be turned. Just not in the Little Red Book Cultural revolution-type way. I think that the Old Guard, if willing, can still offer guidance as well as bankrolls for actions. While the new, if willing, can offer a tirelessness and new strategies to place on situations.
We are integrated but still very much in Whites favor. One which they do not seem prepared to give up (Clinton's approach proves it). Plus Latinos are very much a factor.
How do we move with a new group of leaders that can balance the micro needs of Black communities and effect the macro condition of the USA without destroying them?
