Good q. Electing Obama is a start. Wright is complicating that fact for assimilated America.
America's "Revelation of Wright" is good for the US but bad for Obama. So, the answer to the question, "Wright or wrong time?", depends on who (US or Obama) needs the most public attention right now.
Progressive minds are more likely to express the opportunity for truth and change for the country; more conservative personalities are likely to express frustration and concern for Obama's personal predicament. Being wise on this issue is a matter of successfully empathizing with both views, which requires the younger to be patient.
I say give Obama a break now, the truth will have its time soon.
Which brings us back to your comment question. How do we protect our micro condition from the macro's chronic misconception?
