I'm a student doing a report on Grady Hospital, a hospital near possible closing. Upon reading your article I have questions. Is this hospital mainly treating uninsured or medicaid people? Are the uninsured paying any of their medical bills? Does the hospital have sufficient funds for equipment and supplies? Who are they mainly treating? What i'm getting at is how do we expect them to preform a spectatular juggling act when money is'nt getting pumped in? If they recieved adequate money for what their doctors, nurses and other staff do then would it be so bad? I'm not a doctor but even I know a hospital doesnt run on good intentions alone. We sit back and expect to squeeze blood from a rock, but what is really going on?
