Ms/Mrs Cottwright - you have closed your eyes and may be going WAY into left field on this issue. And Black America typically doesn't expects White America at large to "get this" (assuming you actually classify yourself as such.)
The issue (that you so eloquently raised) was a comparison of the reaction of Blacks to the Imus issue vs Wright issue. It has nothing to do with African American's perceptions of other prominent African Americans.
With all likelihood, you have probably never attended a Black Church. Additionally, Id place 50 to 1 odds against weather or not you've viewed the "unedited" video of the "controversial" sermon that has been exploited by media. Had you done both, you might have a better understanding of why Black people in this country are so "Self Loathing"
