What makes you so sure that these "Proud Black Men" you speak of are "respected" by all races? They are likely respected by YOU because they represent your views, but it might not be a good idea for you to assume they're respected by all races. And you stand corrected - just because your perception of Wright has become warped by the media does not elevate Reverend Wright to a cancer in my community.
Your dismissal of Imus' comments as merely stupid and your condemnation of Wrights statements despite them being taken out of context are PRECISELY THE JUSTIFIABLE REASONS Blacks in this country take issue with the status quo.
Finally - Rice, Elder, and Powell aren't running for President! Let them run, and I assure you the skeletons will fly!
