I did my studet teaching at Locke in 1975. I have been cognizant to its decline since 1980. The school is in dire straits and maybe should be "gutted" and relocated on Imperial Highway and staffed by a hodgepodge of LAUSD staff. Typical of California, bring in some professionals from the East coast that have experience with constant ethnic change.
The location of ALAIN LEROY LOCKE High Scholl is a big factor/ the community is destitute. Convert that campus to a "youth-adult" center similar to the W.L.C.A.C. on Central.
