This was such an awesome event that brought lots of people to Crenshaw Blvd. I am certain that it would have been bigger and better this year primarily because of what I call the Obamaism that has penetrated throughout the country. Cultures are coming together in a effort to understand each other better, and I am sure V100 would have encouraged this also. We would have seen so many people on Crenshaw this year, and I was really looking forward to it. But as the song goes "Everything Must Change" so with that said.... I pray that everyone at V100 will find work SOON. These are extremely difficult times economically. No one can afford to be unemployed. I have truly enjoyed this format and I hope that it has had a positive influence on your listeners. This is THE best music! Best of luck to you all!

I was saddened to hear about V-100 being sold. I'm a 34 year old woman that does Not listen to Rap & was bored with KJLH. V-100 was a refreshing station to me. Loved the extra Frankie Beverly & Maze that they played. I loved all of the DJ's, they are so smooth and mellow. They gave me that good DC feeling. What I liked most was the Michael Baisden Show. Los Angeles NEEDS to hear The Michael Baisden Show. The show kept us informed about things that "WE" need to know. We don't have any black radio voices that tell it to us like it is. I hope that something can be worked out to get Michael Baisden back on air in Los Angeles. Until then I will listen online. I'll really miss Cliff Winston. Hopefully he will go back to KJLH and get the morning show back in order because now it's horrible right now. I can't understand why they hired Nautica DelaCruz. There are enough Spanish radio stations in Los Angeles, why put her on KJLH?? Anyway, V-100 will be missed by many.

It is sad that yet another (Black) African American institution is swalled up by another non (Black) African America institution. Just today I was wondering why African American Institutions usually don't last like institutions such as the J.P Morgans, L.A Times, New York Times etc, I will miss listening to Michael Baisden I found him to be quite open minded.Maybe we will be listening to Ryan Secrest, I read that he was offered several millions to go nationwide on some radio station. Best of good fortune to V100.

I agree with CDPlayer, the station has not been the same since John London and The House Pary left Los Angeles.

What is going on!? Why is it that there is nothing but Spanish stations in Los Angeles, there are still African Americans that live in the area. I guess I will have to get XM or Sirus now. I agree that the loss of Cliff and Michael Baisden is a great loss to the community. Stay strong brothers and sistas maybe we will get another station.

My sentiments are the same as most of the posters. This was the only station I listened to as far as music goes. I will miss it. Truth be told, I listen to more talk radio than music, but the radio was always tuned in between 3:30PM to 6:30PM.

I too am going to miss v100.3FM Radio. It is one of my favorite stations that I listen to daily. Although I disagree with him somewhat, I grew to become a fan of the Michael Baisden Show which airs in L.A. at 12:00 noon as well. I truly appreciate the affable humor of the stations on-air personalities and I loved the music they play! I wish all of them much love and success and I will truly miss them on the radio! Take Care Family!

I'm going to miss the Niele Anderson gospel music on Sunday morning. Her show was a complete blessing.

Thought Los Angeles Black folk were waking up (Jena 6, Katrina aid--via Michael Baisden Show). Once again, Black folk go to sleep and Negroes emerge. When r u all going to realize the power of the Black media and support it? You remain forever thinking you know--and don't...WAKE UP.

This show was tolerable unlike its competitors which I could only take a minute of before I turned the dial. Cliff is too intelligent for the morning listeners who prefer the silliness of BigBoy, the buffoonery of Steve and his Nephew and that ridiculous KJLH (a joke all in itself except for Kevin Nash and Spread the Word). I agree, the new station will be playing hispanic 100%.

The only reason that I listened to V100 was because of Michael Baisden. Every weekday between 12p - 4p, my radio was turned to V100. Michael Baisden has such an informative, valuable and interesting show, that I don't see why anyone would want to take that show off the air. No one else has every kept us that informed of any important issues. I don't know what I'm going to do now. Its a very sad day for Los Angeles! I have to admit that I hated the way Michael would cheat for the men everyday on radio wars, but I love the man anyway because he's so real, down to earth, and serious about the truth. I'm with you all the way Michael - Obama for sure! I think he scared some people with his forum and they want to get him off the air before the elections, cause he's so truthful and had a lot of people switching over to Barack. People will believe a lie, before they believe the truth. Michael Baisden is the Truth! They got to bring you back soon Mr. Baisden.. It can't be no other way...

They say that Radio One will move down the dial to 93.5 KDAY and that they are working on getting The Michael Baisden Show to air on that station. I wonder if the music format will change a bit? This will be interesting. I agree with Chicago Child, we as Black People need to support Black Media. Yes, I do agree that there are waaay tooo many Spanish stations here in Los Angeles and there are a lot of Spanish speaking people here that support their media as well. We are far fewer than the Spanish Speaking here, so we need to work overtime at supporting Black Media. So to everyone that listened to The Michael Baisden Show on V100, please stay tune in to 93.5 KDAY every now and then for details and send letters and e-mails to them letting them know that We Want The Michael Baisden Show back in Los Angeles. THANK YOU

I've got to say that I am very sad to see this station go. I don't think I had an absolute favorite. I liked them all. I liked having a choice/variety: talk, music, faith, humor and community news. I'm not gonna say who I liked or didn't - it's irrelevant at this point. The air personalites are human and feelings and families that they have to take care of. I don't understand why we kick people when they are down? Best of luck to all. From my understaning Michael Baisden will be going to 93.5 KDAY. I've got to say - he really does have the communities best interest at heart among others.

I hate to see the station sold. It feells like we are always at the mercy of other nationalities. Every other station in Los Angeles is Spanish speaking. (Can't blame them for taking advantage of all there is to get here.) I find this amazing because we cannot manage to keep 3 or 4 stations. A friend of mine said that she does not listen to Latino stations because the content is vulgar. She said that they are not monitored the way Enlgish speaking stations are. She said if they were, they'd probably be off the air. I'm just tired of getting crumbs and left overs when it comes to being Black in Los Angeles. Just plain tired.....

I also heard that The Michael Baisden Show is expected to move to 93.5 KDAY. Will we have to listen the the Rap Music too? If so, I will check in at 12:00pm and out at 4:00! Peace & Unity

why dont r & b stations play music from the sixties, their old school start from 1970

What a tragedy! Michael Baisden and the crew balanced the fine line of comedy and thought provocing conversation unlike no other station. It appears that the forces that possess no appreciation for Black Intelligence has won this battle

I am saddened to hear that because of the sale of this station that the Michael Baisden show will no longer be heard in the Los Angeles area. I listen to talk radio, and I appreciated his mix of music and political commentary. I find these two factors sadly missing in most broadcasts and I surley appreciated his approach to offering a variety of views that even covered the introduction of some fabulous but lesser known performing artists. I hope that somehow he will be able to catch on with his format on another LA area station. I am 57 years old and his format is the only one that caught and held my interest from the moment I became aware of him through a friend. The African American community is diverse and widespread in this area, but it is still a viable economic body in this area and around the country.
