HOW SAD I TRULY ENJOYED V100 FROM MORNING TO NIGHT. HOW SAD WE CAN'T HANG ON TO WHAT WE HAVE.I AM SO TREID OF HIP HOP,AND RAMBLING DJ'S. THIS STATION WAS ADULT STATION, WITH ADULT NEWS AND POINTS OF VIEW,ON SUBJECTS THAT INTEREST US!HOW SAD!!!

Losing the station is truly a loss for the people of Los Angeles. I grew up listening to The Beat and will miss what the station brought to the community. It is sad to see that Cliff Winston and other LA legends, left their former stations to come and see the end of an era just under 2 years later. I feel sorry for them all.
I will also miss Michael Baisden. He was a blessing to African Americans in Los Angeles. He brought us into the loop on current issues that pertain to community at large, and politics in general. I hope to hear him again soon over the airwaves! What am I left to listen to now during my mid-day commute? Wendy Williams? I think not! What a sad excuse for a radio show.

Thanks RadioOne for all the good years. Business is business, I suppose. I just wish there would have been something else that could have worked. At least that would have given us more to choose from.

Wow, what a way to start my morning. All of my radios were set on 100.3. I woke up this morning to some Hill Billy music on that station. It's sad to lose a quality music station to be replaced by that type of music. I've been changing stations all morning, but can't find anything worth listening to. I guess I will have to pull out the iPod until something good comes back on air.

Can't believe you they took another good radio station. On the other hand, Michael Baisden is Wack! Thought the music selection throughout the day was a breath of fresh air. Please don't make it another 100.3 another Spanish station or wack hip hop. We need that feel good music again!!

It will be quite strange not to hear Michael Baisden, and Cliff. I like V100. It was my kind of music. The world is changing and so many are affected adversely. But we must keep PositivityINFOCUS.com.

the sale of V100 isn't just a loss for the black community, it's a loss for me too-- a loyal white listener!

i'm strictly old school and there was other place on the radio dial that offered better taste in music. first KACE vanished, now this?! i'm sick!!

sorry KJLH, i grew up with you too, but you're too new school and too much church on sundays.

if there is a radio god, please find this music and its rich history a new home!! thank you!!

Can't someone just come up with a station with this format and make it last? Very disappointing! Cliff is a legend. I hope he picks up another spot soon. I love Power too, but KJLH sucks and Harvey is hard to listen to! V100 was the best!

Alas, Slavery is alive and well in 2008! We're still being sold lock, stock and barrel. Even our music is being taken from us and being sold! Our music, which is a national treasure, has been sold for a fistful of dollars or 20 pieces of silver. My People! My People! I daresay certain groups would prefer to see the reinstitution of slavery. Yes, I said it! So then, what price can we put on our freedom? Our music? We must stand up and fight for what's rightfully ours-- including our music! Couldn't KRBV have scaled back overhead operations in order to save the station? What a sad day for the people of Los Angeles. What is it going to take for us to wake up and realize that this trend will continue unabated unless we make some noise! So, Holla everyone! Holla! Cathy Hughes, I had so much faith in you and had hoped that you would keep the dream alive . . . and our music. This truly hurts. You have broken my heart Ms. Hughes! You've disappointed us all. What a loss!

Lynne Donaldson: I feel your pain, but how can you blame Cathy Hughes for making a "business decision" that in all likelyhood helps preserve the 'Big Picture' outlook for RadioOne? If she gave a personal explanation today, I'm sure she would be clear that the sale was a difficult but necessary decision to make - and defend it as a necessary business decision.

How many of us regular "Joe's" can take a 300+ million dollar hit and keep on truckin'? Cut her a little slack, and wait and see what happens before jumping the gun.

I am a "young old head" a Miachel Baisden would say. I am a young educated African American woman and I found that the information that Michael Baisden provided for his listeners to be empowering, educational and innovative. He challenged his listeners to think critically; he wanted men and women to follow their dreams and aspiration. He not only catered to African Americans listeners but he wanted all races to call in and gives their perspective on certain topics of the day. He surrounded himself with so many influential and educated people in the African American community. Allow them to give their expertise on topics ranging from, relationship, health, legality and politics. This help to open my mind and I’m sure many others on the career possibilities for our younger generation that is inundated with the glamorous life the basketball player, the rapper and the dope dealer. Miachel Baisden provided a balance for us all. He was on FIRE and he was passionate about what he did, he followed his dream and encouraged us to do the same and I hope that we can get him back in LA. If anyone know of anything we can do to get him back email me at davis110@csusm.edu

Michael Baisden is a character I must admit and has some good topics. I'll miss some of my "old" tunes, but I can't say I will miss Diana & Cliff all that much..too chatty...Keep that good 'ol R&B and leave HIP HOP to Power...

I am sad about the lost of V100..I loved Cliff Winston in the morning. I know he came from KJLH and maybe they will ask or beg him to come back. He is good and knows the radio business. I missed him with his other partners...And I agree, even I got sick of hearing about Diana Steel's kids and her "not needing a man". Thanks for letting me give my two-cents....KD

I loved this radio station. I listened to all the way down in San Diego...but where the heck is Michael Baisden???? Is he with a new station?

Posted by Distraught Listener, on 04-08-2008 20:43,
V100 has been my absolute favorite station ever since I found it on the dial. I so much appreciate the way Michael Baisden brings issues to the forefront that affect the black community. His passion is infectious, even if you don't always agree with him. There is no other station that talks about the issues and entertains you, in my opinion. I particularly enjoyed the music mix. I don't want to hear hip-hop but I was tired of the WAVE. What will I listen to now?

Wow!.... so that's what happenned this morning. I could not understand why V100 was playing the theme song to Giligans Island!!! What a sad, sad day. I will truly miss Cliff Winston. I feel horrible for him. He was seduced from KJLH to V100 not too long ago, and now he's out of a job... so unfortunate. Didn't care much for Diana Steele(in my opinion, she was just another white woman who feels she has a "ghetto pass" simply because she dates black men and has a black child) but I wish her well.
Hopefully Cliff can return to KJLH because the Guy Black is just plain silly, can't stomach it at all. I love Stevie but he needs to stick to singing... he is so dry and BORING on the radio!!

This was a major loss for the LA community and RadioOne. Were there no other buyers available? Such a bargain! Where were our diverse entrapaneurs? Scary and sad. We have to pay more attention or be obsolete.

V100 was the only African American Radio station that I was able to receive in the Lancaster, CA. I will truly miss it. Goodbye and Good Luck in all of the staff's future endeavors

Sad day in LA! I stopped listening to KJLH when they started going after the angry, young and stupid in the morning. I followed Cliff and discovered a decent line-up. We'll miss you guys!
