As we gather for the holidays—wars wage in our families, outside our homes and in other countries. The Israel and Palestinian conflict have many all over the world bothered as the war escalates between the two factions.
There is something many of us know to do when trials and tribulations come… yet many of us aren’t familiar or don’t know how to go about doing it—prayer.
Many who are familiar with the Bible know that these wars are prophecy being fulfilled. Many locals feel we should become involved and no doubt, President Obama is formulating the best plan to help bring about peace.
The best thing we can do when the storms of life come threatening our peace is to pray. When you speak to the Lord—change is the natural outcome. The name Jesus alone brings Him into our presence. We need to pray for our brothers and sisters in Israel and Palestine, those being shot and those doing the shooting, pray that peace will overwhelm the malice in the heart.
We also need to pray for the wars that loom and take place within our own midst. This time of year can be weary and trying as many families are fractured and hurting for various reasons. Many of our children are at war with each other in the streets and at home with their parents and families.
Let’s say a prayer for all of us to make it through the storms that come with living in this world. You don’t have to be special, religious, holy or saved to talk to Jesus—He waits to hear from all of us.
This Thanksgiving, say a prayer for you, your family and our human family around the world. It’s always darkest before the light.
