The Ravens Ed Reed has been one of the greatest safeties to ever play in the NFL, and now he has a Super Bowl championship to stamp his Hall of Fame career.

In the first half it was the Ravens Ray Lewis (52) and his defense controlling the action.  But in the second half Colin Kaepernick (7) brought the 49ers back.

Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco was the Super Bowl MVP, and his go to receiver was Anquan Boldin (81), who finished the game with six catches for 104 yards and one touchdown.

Judging by social media, Beyonce may have been the hottest performer at Super Bowl XLVII.

The referees allowed the Ravens and 49ers to play a physical game, and they refrained from ejecting any players after this brawl.

Ravens middle linebacker Ray Lewis said before the playoffs that this would be his last ride.  After making that statement the Ravens did not lose a game, after finishing the season losing four out of their final five games.  Lewis may be the greatest middle linebacker ever.  He is also one of the most inspirational and controversial players ever.

Many people believe that the 34-minute third quarter power outage helped the 49ers get back in the game.  The Ravens were winning 28-6 at the time, but they were able to hold off a late 49ers charge.

The Super Dome in New Orleans has hosted seven Super Bowls.  This past one may have been the most exciting.
