The charismatic local author Fred Hawthorne pins about his sexual journey through Whittier College and how he ultimately managed to transform his out of control behavior into a model citizen and husband.

While the well written, ‘Why Did I Sleep with Him’ chronicles many of the myths and realities of African American men and their common, but not frequently discussed fantasies for non-Black females, it also provides as a unique dating guide for both men and women.

The 145 page novel by the award winning education who has written two book previously, address subjects such as middle aged women, becoming married, ignorance and obesity, men and children and addiction.

Hawthorne lends his story of perseverance and triumph with the world. Hawthorne uses his uptempo, energetic and engaging message through every form of communicative device. Whether it is through his writings, behind the camera or in front of an engaged audience, Hawthorne shares a message hope that is designed to uplift and inspire.

Raised by his mother without the support of an  abusive alcoholic father, Hawthorne went from a failing high school student at Venice High school to become a college graduate.

The book is scheduled to be released in April.
