Dreaming With a Broken Heart

She wore a zebra print, form fitting, long skirt.

Her complexion is the color of warm sands that sooths the soles of ones toes.

Her smile is stained within the presents of my thoughts. One day she would kiss me and sadness would be my fault.

In every pleasurable moment we shared, I recall the intense feeling provided by her honest glare, my own remorse, which has brought me years of despair.

While dwelling within the suspended state of conscious nightmares, you save me and guide me to areas that remind me of how much you cared.

When I wake, you are never there.

I believe you survived a broken heart, yet waking up from my dreams, although harsh, is all I have and also the hardest part.

I may never experience the euphoria of you simply being here!

Yet when my eyelids fall, you respond to my voice after the first call!

Time allows all wounds to heal, indulge in your dreams so a positive heart you can feel!
