Terrelle Pryor

Terrelle Pryor will be the Raiders starting quarterback in Oakland's regular season opener against the Colts. Raiders coach Dennis Allen informed Pryor of the decision on September 2. The decision isn't a complete shock, Raiders offensive coordinator Greg Olson was impressed by Pryor after Oakland's third preseason game, "When you see Terrelle in a game, he just looks faster than the other players on the field," Olson said after the Raiders 34-26 loss to the Bears. "He is a tremendous athlete, and he's got the ability to make plays. Right now we're looking for playmakers."

Pryor was 7-of-9 for 93 yards and a touchdown in the loss, a much better showing than Matt Flynn, who threw two interceptions in six pass attempts.

Pryor's only made one career start for the Raiders in his two seasons with the team. The 24-year-old quarterback started Oakland's 2012 regular season finale in December, a 24-21 loss to the Chargers. In that game, Pryor threw for 150 yards and two touchdowns while adding 49 yards and another touchdown on the ground.

Pryor also represents the final major decision of Raiders late owner Al Davis who traded for the rights to draft Pryor.
