Authorities today announced that the stepfather of fatally stabbed Hawthorne woman was being sought
for questioning as ``person of interest.''
The death in the 4800 block of West 118th Street was reported just
before 7:30 p.m. Thursday, according to Deputy Aura Sierra-Lidman of the Los
Angeles County Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau.
Naquia Catching of Hawthorne died at the scene, coroner's Assistant
Chief Ed Winter said.
The wanted man, whose name was not released, lived at the location with
the victim and her mother, sheriff's officials said.
Investigators said the victim's mother called Hawthorne police to report

Deputy Don Walker said.
``Hawthorne Police Department personnel and paramedics responded to the
