Pastor Brandon Fisher

Amid applause and cheers, the Rev. Brandon Fisher entered the pulpit on October 12 as the new pastor of First A.M.E. Zion Church, located at 1087 North Raymond Avenue in Pasadena.

Sister Jeannie Williams and the Steward Board sponsored the program that included remarks by Pasadena Mayor Bill Bogaard, San Diego District Presiding Elder Marcia Meredith, and Los Angeles District Presiding Elder George E. Kent.

A native of Charlotte, NC, Pastor Fisher began his ministry at Grace A.M.E. Zion in Raleigh, NC, then served as youth pastor at Mount Zion A.M.E. Zion in Delway, NC, before his new assignment. At age 25, he is the youngest pastor in the Western Episcopal District of the A.M.E. Zion Church.

Pastor Fisher received his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina, a Master of Ministry degree from Andersonville Seminary, and Doctorate of Jurisprudence from North Carolina Central University School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and Washington, DC.

The son of ministers, his parents are the Rev. Dr. Lester and Rev. Cassandra Fisher, the pastors of Bethel A.M.E. Zion in Stantonsburg, NC, and Trinity A.M.E. Zion in Tomahawk, NC, respectively.
