USC junior cornerback Josh Shaw was named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week for his performance at Oregon State.
Shaw recorded a team-best 8 tackles and had an endzone interception as the Trojans beat Oregon State, 31-14, last Friday (Nov. 1) night to snap a 3-game losing streak in Corvallis.
Shaw helped USC limit an Oregon State offense that was averaging 40.1 points per game, 487.4 totals yards and leading the nation in passing offense to 14 points and 277 passing yards. Shaw led a Trojan defense that forced three interceptions and held the Beavers to 2-of-11 on third down.
Shaw joins Arizona State quarterback Taylor Kelly (offense) and UCLA linebacker Jayon Brown (special teams) as Pac-12 Football Players of the Week this week.
