Registration is open through Wednesday, January 8, for the winter quarter of Evangelism and Christian Education courses at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church (PHBC), 2009 West Martin Luther King, Jr., Boulevard in Los Angeles.
According to Dr. John A. Williams, dean, classes begin Tuesday, January 14, at 6:30 p.m., with Dr. Sylvester Washington, pastor of Pleasant Hill, and qualified staff serving as instructors to equip believers to implement the mandate of Christ found in Matthew 28:18-20.
Dr. Washington, who is also Executive Director of the National Evangelism Movement, Inc., (NEM), will join Deacon Alfred Henderson in teaching Evangelism 101, Introduction to Principles of Evangelism.
Other classes and facilitators are E-102, Scripture Comprehension for Witnessing, taught by Dr. John A. Williams and Brother William Scott; E-103, Scripture Memorization and Role Play, taught by Sister Kathy Cash; E-104, Conversational Witnessing as You Go, taught by Sister Carleen Moore-Carter; E-105, Responding to Cults and False Doctrines, taught by Sister Hilder Madison-Scott; E-106A, How to be a People Helper, taught by Sister Rose M. Coleman; E-106B, Personal State for Witnessing, taught by Sister Betty Baker; and E-106C, God’s Power for Helping Hurting People, taught by First Lady Earlee Washington.
“Another exciting part of the PHBC education curriculum are courses on Assurance of Salvation: Do you Know That You Know, taught by Sister Betty J. Baker; and Training for Service: Do you Know How To Use Your Bible, taught by Sister Earlee Washington,” explained Dr. Washington, who will also instruct Demons: (Need We Say More). “Come and check us out.
