Six home games include conference foes Oregon, USC and Stanford

The Pac-12 unveiled the 2014 football schedule on Wednesday afternoon, with UCLA slated to play three non-conference contests and nine conference games in 2014, including six home games at the Rose Bowl.

The Bruins are coming off a convincing 42-12 victory over Virginia Tech at the Sun Bowl and a school-record tying 10-win season in 2013. Head coach Jim Mora’s squad returns Heisman Trophy candidate Brett Hundley behind center, the first-ever Pac-12 Offensive/Defensive Freshman of the Year in Myles Jack, six players that earned Freshman All-American honors and 15 All-Pac-12 performers. After finishing the 2013 campaign ranked 16th in the country, early polls place UCLA in the top-10 to start the 2014 season.

Of the Bruins' six home opponents for the upcoming 2014 season, four played in bowl games in 2013, while three won 10 or more games (Oregon, USC, Stanford) and finished the season ranked in the top 20 of the final AP poll.

The 2014 season kicks off with a cross country trek to Charlottesville, Va., where UCLA will face the Virginia Cavaliers on Saturday, Aug. 30. The Bruins return on Sept. 6 to open their home schedule the following week against Memphis in their lone non-conference game at the Rose Bowl. Non-conference action wraps up with a neutral site game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas against the University of Texas on Sept. 13.

Following a bye week, the Bruins open Pac-12 play with a Thursday night affair at Arizona State on Sept. 25. The Pac-12 home opener will be against Utah (Oct. 4), followed by a showdown at the Rose Bowl against Oregon on Oct. 11.

UCLA then hits the road for back-to-back games, playing at Cal on Oct. 18 and then at Colorado on Oct. 25. The Bruins return home to welcome the Arizona Wildcats for Homecoming on Nov. 1 before heading to Seattle to face Washington on Nov. 8.

After another bye week, UCLA closes out the regular season schedule with two highly-anticipated games in Pasadena, facing cross-town rival USC on Nov. 22 and Stanford on Friday, Nov. 28.
