University Seventh-day Adventist Church unites with African American Healers' Inc., and Dr. Ramona L. Hyman to present the 2nd Annual African American Healers' Inc., in a multi-cultural nation conference on Saturday, February 15, on the church campus at 1135 West Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Los Angeles.

The Black History program and conversation focuses on the African American church with Dr. Maury Jackson preaching on the topic at 11 a.m. Dr. Jackson is an assistant professor of Practical Theology for the HMS Richards Divinity School at La Sierra University.

At 3 p.m., Dr. Hyman will make a presentation entitled, ‘Montgomery 55: Lessons from A Boycott,’ based on the African Americans who walked 381 days to protest the city’s busing discrimination law. Dr. Hyman formerly served as an associate professor of Humanities, School of Religion, at Loma Linda University.

Encouraging the public to attend, Dr. Hyman said, “My prayer is that all who partake in this conversation find themselves baptized by and in the spirit of the healing that holds the African American community, even through the storms, and that God's voice, God's thoughts concerning African Americans will dance forth in the sermon and presentation.”
