Jeorald Pitts/Lil ToneThe Actor/Comedian Steve Harvey once said something simple, but profound that really meshed with my mental. He said: "I was who I was, I am who I am and I'm cool with both of them". Some of you may not be channeled to the currents these 16 words carry. Hopefully by the end of this writing you will. Self-worth is evaluated by the knowledge of self. So it's self evident that some people suffer from poverty of knowledge of self. Which often displays itself through low self-esteem, causing then to be very sensitive to other peoples opinions, thus, giving them the power to validate or threaten their own sense of self. There is nothing wrong with getting others opinions, a different point of view gives us a greater self-perspective, but we can't run our life by committee. There will be no shortage of opinions directed at you. If you allow them to undermine yourself, respect. You are seeking the respect of others over your own, and you give up your self, the little you may have discovered thus far.
Your reputation is not located in you. It resides in the minds of others. There fore you have no control over it at all. If you speak to (15) people. You will have (15) different reputations. You must search and listen to your own heart and self-voice. Where-upon, once a person stops exploring for information and knowledge of ones self, ignorance sets in, creating a self portrait colorized with self-love, self-improvement, self-esteem, self-control, self-will and self-reliance, can give you a self assured self perception that immunizes you from false reflections, unhealthy opinions and also self-centeredness. Self-confident people know that no one can make much of their life until self-exploring becomes a regular habit, then is able to admit and accept what you discover and create, while patiently and persistently working to correct what wrong. For better or worse we all see ourselves in a certain way. And while this way may include negative behaviors or traits, it is none-the-less who we are. Let us not try to be the best or worst of those around us, but let us make the effort to be the best of ourselves.
True fulfillment comes when we direct our attention inward instead of outward, we can became established in the constant awareness of the inner self regardless of where we are or what we are doing in life. All forms of love and joy are manifestations of the self. The more attuned to the inner self we become, the more love and joy we can give and receive self-gratification in return. Any thing that feel good is only a manifestation or modification of this joy of the self. Its of paramount importance that we gain and maintain a certainty of self in this world of intrigue, mystery and perpetual uncertainty. I hope this word vessel is strong enough to assist you to become self-conscious of the richness of self-seeking.
