Robin Thicke's Album “Paula” Reflects marriage with Paula Patton

The “Blurred Lines” singer has reportedly name his latest album “Paula” after his estranged wife Paula Patton. The couple separated back in February, Thicke has since performed songs that reflect on his marital woes. Thicke sung his first single from his new album, “Get Her Back,” in May at the Billboard Music Awards. “Paula” will release on July 1st. Thicke is set to perform at the BET Awards on June 29.

Trey Songz’s Album “Trigga” drops July 1st

Trey Songz sixth studio album “Trigga” is scheduled to be released on July 1.  The album introduces singles “Na Na” and “SmartPhones.” Single “Na Na” has garnered a lot buzz, becoming a steady play for Summer Jams. Songz collaborates with Nicki Minaj for single “Touchin, Lovin.”  The duo harmonized on track “Bottoms Up,” on album “Passion, Pain & Pleasure.”

OutKast Returning to Atlanta for Homecoming on September 27

Outkast resurfaced to the music game with a bang performing non-stop, however the music duo is going back to where it all started….Atlanta.  According to Billboard.com, “the hip-hop duo announced that they’ll land in Centennial Olympic Park on Sept. 27.  “It’s only right that we give the hometown what we’ve been giving the rest of the world, Atliens in ATL, homecoming! Festival Killers,” comments Big Boi in a statement. “Coming from Atlanta gave us the freedom to be whatever we ever wanted to be because no one was paying attention. Now that everyone is, we want to say thank you,” says André 3000.

Aretha Franklin to Cover Adele, Streisand, Knight on New Album

Eurweb.com reports Aretha Franklin will throw her signature voice on songs from Adele, Barbra Streisand and Donna Summer for her upcoming cover album. The Queen of Soul has teamed up with music industry veteran Clive Davis for the as-yet-untitled project, which will feature Aretha’s renditions of songs by powerful female singers. The tracklist includes Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep,” Summer’s “Last Dance,” “People” by Streisand, and Gladys Knight’s “Midnight Train to Georgia.” Franklin is currently working on the record with Babyface and Outkast star Andre 3000. She tells the New York Daily News, “It’s wonderful, wonderful music.”

Elle Varner’s New Style and Music for Second album “Four Letter Word”

Songstress Elle Varner is bringing a new sound and style to her upcoming album “Four Letter Word.” Coming to the stage with a sweet and urban sound on her first album “Perfectly Imperfect, Varner is switching it up with a sensual and raw sound on her sophomore album. The singer is ready to show fans that her voice and lyrics go beyond the girl next door. The LA native is taking risks with a mature vibe on her new project. “It’s definitely sexier.” “I just went there. I didn’t hold anything back. I’m not a little girl. I know that I’m a role model, but everyone is going to grow up and all I can do is share my truth and know that there are going to be girls and women that go through the same things I did. It is what it is. I’m not here to be perfect,” Varner told Vibe.com earlier this year.  “Four Letter Word” is set to drop later this year.
