What does it mean to be a Christian? There are Christians that do not go to church, but still believe in God, Christians that go to church, but disagree with what the Bible says. The list of reasons is endless.
The Los Angeles Sentinel decided to interview some of its high school interns with the question, "Why do you or why do you not go to church?" Below are the responses.
Alex Torres: "I do not go to church because of a bad experience when I was a kid, and to be honest I find church repetitive and drawn out.
“That's not a problem but church goes on way past when it’s supposed to end so I think people lose interest. I'd rather build my relationship with God on my own, but seek help from time-to-time."
Mariah Bragg: "No, because I'm not religious."
Justin Hill: "Yes, it helps me clear my conscious."
Aquoi Belisle: "No, because I don't believe in certain values and practices."
Some teenagers have had bad experiences and they may think that all churches are the same. While other people do not believe in certain values and practices.
