Pastor David Cross

A salute to education takes place at The Liberty Church on ‘Back to School Sunday,’ August 10, at the 8:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. services in the sanctuary located at 14725 South Gramercy Place in Gardena.

Pastor David Cross will conclude his sermon series, ‘What Doesn’t Kill Me Makes Me Stronger,’ and free school supplies will be distributed after both services.

The items include paper, pens, folders, rulers, pencils and sharpeners. Also, free barbeque, popcorn, cotton candy, juice and water will be shared after the 11 a.m. worship.

In addition, Pastor Cross will have copies available of his first book, ‘How to Come Back from Relationship Setbacks,’ for a donation of $12.99.

“Have you ever been hurt in an intimate relationship or marriage?  Did you ever suspect it could have been the enemy (snake) trying to take you out?  This book can help you recover and move forward from any setback,” declared Pastor Cross.

Offering similar comments, Dr. La Grande E. Mason, Jr., a clinical psychologist at the Center for Family Enrichment Relationships, Marriage and Self, shared, “Each reader will find this book like a TV Guide for the relational soul, a description and forecast of life’s events, programs and situations.”

The book tackles a range of issues such as recovering from hurt, divorce or heart-breaking relationships, getting the ‘snake’ out of your marriage and restoring a house of peace, how to say ‘no’ when your flesh says ‘yes,’ and rediscovering and being revived by the phenomenal healing love of God.
