MMBA Plans Women’s Convocation

The Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Association of Los Angeles and Vicinity will present Women's Convocation 2011 on Friday, November 11, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday, November 12, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Roger Williams Baptist Church (North University Park Community Church), 1342 West Adams Boulevard in Los Angeles.

‘Ladies, It's All Within Your Reach' is the conference theme with the focus on accessing salvation, wisdom, God's promises, blessings, godly relationships, power, deliverance and happiness. The scripture references are Deuteronomy 30:11-15, Psalm 145:18, Isaiah 55:6, Romans 10:5-8, and Philippians 3:12-14.

Among the speakers are Elder Mary Williams-Jackson of Completely Anointed Christian Fellowship and Poet Penny Williams of Security Missionary Baptist Church. Dr. Gloria Morrow, Christian clinical psychologist and author, will address ‘Healing Our Damaged Emotions' and Minister Jewel Diamond Taylor, acclaimed motivational speaker and author, will present ‘It's All Within Your Reach.'

Music will be provided by celebrated actress and singer Vickilyn Reynolds as well as the Del Aire Baptist Church and the Hawthorne Praise Team.
