Jeorald PittsSince the development of the cognitive part of our brains, man has been plague with the thought and desire to find their purpose in life. Although we'd like to believe its our intellect that really drive us, majority of the time it's our emotions-the sensations that we link to our thoughts-are what truly moves us. The dictionary defines the word "Purpose" as a noun. (1): an object or result aimed at, Intention (2): Resolution, Determination. Thus, purpose can take as many different forms as there are people. The purpose I'm referring to is not adequately defined by any dictionary definition or theoretical term. Before I proceed, I first would like to say to any critics. I don't profess to have a doctorate on such a pregnant subject as this. However, I wrote this prose to give birth to some understanding on a topic that can only be truly understood by being felt. Thus, once we understand purpose intellectually we will realize that purpose is measured not by what we think or do in life, but how we feel about doing it.
The purpose I'm describing is what transforms the most mundane things of daily life into joyous events. Purpose produces the most intense forms of passion. Purpose is when your happiness and the needs of others meet. In order to feel completely fulfilled we need to be a part of something that connects us to a larger whole. We all operate under the umbrella of human nature-if we are not moving towards a meaning purpose, we can not be fulfilled. There is no status quo in nature. To feel good, to feel alive, humans needs a purpose. This is why a successful life is defined as one that is lived through understanding and pursuing one's own purpose, not chasing after the dreams or fulfilling the expectations of society and others. Purpose can be found through the most unexpected sources. A certain event or situation will appear in our lives, all with the purpose of finding your purpose. Where-upon purpose can be derived from either pleasurable or painful circumstance. However once we reach or find our purpose we will became more at attune to and aligned with what ever we are doing. We'll gradually begin to feel: Happier, freer, more peaceful and more fulfilled. There is no richer emotion then the sense of purpose, it is a treasure beyond valve. If you do not discover this treasure, you will perpetually feel remnants of unfulfillment despite the acquisition of other human draperies as money, power, respect and love. Purpose is not an accessory in life, but a necessity. It empowers us not only to achieve, but to partake in the deep sense of joy, contribution and growth that gives real meaning to life it self. Your purpose is within you waiting to be manifested by an unforeseen challenge or inspired request, it came through any reason at any time. We as human beings must have purpose in order to feel truly alive, because walking through life purposeless is like only being half alive, as though sleep walking from womb to tomb.
