As a mortuary employee, Larry Bobo who is now a mortician himself, noticed a large number of families who could not afford to bury their loved ones. That was the main reason behind the opening of All Faiths Funeral Home (FD #2090) in South Central Los Angeles. The new mortuary is located at 1129 South Central Avenue in the 90059 zip code.

"I always wanted to be a mortician," said Bobo.
"When I was growing up, no one I knew could afford funerals. We always had to do car washes or knock on doors begging for money... so I thought if I got into the funeral business, then I could give back to the community."

For a grieving family, All Faiths offers peace of mind for an all-inclusive price of $2500. The price includes transfer of remains to funeral home, a nine-seat limousine, funeral coach and embalming. A funeral director and staff will organize the services.

"We [also] do cremation for $895," he said.
"No funeral home in Los Angeles does it cheaper than we do."

Bobo has been involved in the funeral business for more than 10 years. He started out working for the Simpson Family Mortuary in Inglewood. He left there for Harrison Ross in 2005.

"I went through the mortuary program at Cypress College, which takes two years but I finished in one."

Now, he is eager to help.

"We're all about the community," Bobo said.
"So, if you don't have the money... whatever you have, we'll take it. We also take donations. We'll do whatever we have to do to get your loved one buried."
