Brookins AME Honors Mothers

Pastor C.D. Williams and members of Brookins

Pastor C. Dennis Williams and the Brookins Community A.M.E. Church family recognized several mothers with gift baskets on May 8.

The honorees were (from left, seated) Rosie L. Harris and Florence Davis, oldest mothers present; (standing) Dorothy Taylor Cobb, presenter; Loren Hickman, youngest mother present; First Lady Yvette Williams, Dr. Williams, Carol Thomas, mother with most children present; and Mae Taylor Johnson, gift designer.

Brookins is located at 4831 South Gramercy Place in Los Angeles. Sunday worship services start at 9 a.m., and the Pastor's Bible Study is held each Wednesday at 7 p.m. For information, call (323) 296-5610. (photo by C.J. Fossett)
