New Mt. Calvary Plans Resurrection Weekend

Resurrection Weekend events for the entire family will be presented at New Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, located at 402 East El Segundo Boulevard in Los Angeles.

"We are going forth in high praise as we prepare to celebrate the love, life, labor, and victory of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We pray that you will join in and join us for a spirit-filled Resurrection Weekend at The Mount," said Pastor Sonja Dawson, Esq.

Events begin Friday, April 22, at 7:30 p.m., with their Annual Good Friday Worship Service sponsored by the Children's Sunday School Department.

"With great enthusiasm and a zeal for Jesus Christ, our children will present the meaning and purpose of Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday through a cadre of songs and speeches," said the pastor.

Three services will be held on Resurrection Sunday, April 24. Sunrise Service starts at 6 a.m., with an Hour of Power comprising worship and the word. Services will also be held at 7:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.

"In this time, let us get lost in the holy of holies and bless Him for who He is, all that He has done, and all that He has yet to do," said Pastor Dawson.
