Poetry Contest Winners Announced

The judges have selected the four winners of our LA Sentinel/LA Watts Times Black History Poetry Contest. Winners are as follows:

1ST Place Winner -Brunei Terrell (13 years old) - $500.00

2ND Place Winner - Stevee Asberry (16 years old) - $125.00 (share 2nd prize ), dinner for two @ Mels Fish Shack

2ND Place Winner - Myra Carter (8 years old) - $125.00 (share 2nd prize), dinner for two @ Brothers Barbeque

3RD Place Winner -Taloni Crawford (16 years old) - Scholarship to Debbie Allen Dance School

4TH Place Winner – Christina Anderson (18 years old) - $75.00 gift certificate for Harold & Belle’s
