Colleges accepting students on the spotThe Black College Expo will return once again to Los Angeles for a twelfth year. The expo will take place on Saturday January 8, 2011 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Los Angles Convention Center, in the West Hall, with an after-show from 3-5 p.m. featuring KFC Step Show Showcase and surprise celebrity guests. Thousands of dollars in scholarships will be given away on the spot to high school seniors and college students from National College Resources Foundation and New Image Global, Inc. Another main seminar topic by popular demand will be "How to find money for College". Students will meet with close to 100 colleges, including close to 50 historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs). The Black College Expo is a program of National College Resources Foundation (NCRF), a non-profit organization serving underrepresented youth. Our goal is to do all we can to help students understand the importance of education, encourage higher education and help provide resources for students to succeed," says Founder, Theresa Price. This year National College Resources Foundation/Black College Expo will also have a special segment on The Student Athlete, Education & Athletics. Several professionals will be on hand to share their experience and give tips to student athletics on how to get recruited to play college sports.
