Chase the dream, ignore the haters and beware whoremongers offering Persian rugs...

So many times, we as human beings settle for the crumbs that fall from the table. We give into our basic wants and desires hoping to attain our true needs. A lot of the time, we find we're left with only us and ourselves at the end of the day. It is time that we all just stand still and realize...I deserve BETTER!!!

Don't settle for half of your dream because someone told you that it was impossible, or it was out of your league or you weren't capable enough. Those obstacles are nothing more than dry twigs on the road...brush them out of the way and go for yours! The Lord said we were more than conquerors in Him. Believe it!

If you've been handed a bad report, whether it's health, financial or work related...take it to Jesus! He has the final report on what happens in your life and He says it's alright according to Romans 8:28. Sometimes the outlook is bleak, very bleak, but Jesus is the lamp unto our feet. You can walk assured you won't stumble and fall when you put Him first.

Stop letting that person into your heart, home and bed that doesn't want to commit with a ring. Yeah! I said it, "Put a ring on it!" If someone truly loves you, with all their heart, this isn't a hard thing to do. It's time we leave the shack for a house and be with someone who plans on being there. Too often we listen to empty promises of love, things and passion and end up with a cheap rug from a whoremonger who deposits secondhand junk in our lives.

It's easy to tell each other what we should do but harder to actually do it when you're in the situation. I'm not perfect by any means, but right is still right regardless. I believe that when we settle for any old thing, that old thing settles us right out of our true reward. The Lord wants the best for us in this life despite its obstacles. Let's see what He has for us in His Word.

This is a special rant inspired by a real, and positive discussion I had with some colleagues. Life is too short and you get one chance to get it right. Why not do it right and be able to have the Lord say good job my son/daughter, you represented me right.
