Apostle Ronald C. HillDr. Ronald C. Hill Affirmed as an ApostleLove and Unity Christian Fellowship†prepare for the affirmation service Love and Unity Christian Fellowship and the Kingdom Harvest Christian Alliance will honor the life, legacy and ministry of Dr. Ronald C. Hill Sr. and affirm him as an Apostle, during a special Apostolic Affirmation Service. The apostolic affirmation service will be held on Friday, December 3, at 7 p.m., at the Love and Unity Christian Fellowship, 1840 S. Wilmington Avenue in Compton."This affirmation is not only consistent with the Word of God, it is a long overdue honor bestowed on a man who has humbly served God's people for so many years," said a spokesman. In the Book of Ephesians, Apostle Paul states: "And He gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ." (Ephesians 4:11-12) The word "apostle" comes from the Greek word "apostolos" which means "one sent forth." The dictionary defines this office as meaning: "a person sent of a special mission [much like} the 12 disciples sent out by Jesus to preach the gospel." These five offices, known as the "five -fold ministry gifts," can and do operate in combination with one another, such as prophet/evangelist, pastor/teacher, and so forth. †Dr. Hill now operates as pastor/teacher and when his affirmation has taken place, his ministry offices will be apostle/pastor/teacher,î the spokesman said.Ephesians 2:20 describes an Apostle as a cornerstone of the faith. The unique calling requires that one be directed on a definite mission to act with full authority on behalf the Savior and is accountable only to God. God has given us such an Apostle, proclaimed Pastor Walter B. Rogers of New Foundation Church in Moreno Valley, California. †ìOne who is genuinely concerned about reaching the lost, at any cost.îPastor Rogers is a member of Kingdom Harvest Christian Alliance and will be one of many prominent guest ministers that will be coming to celebrate Dr. Hill's affirmation, to also include Author, Apostle John Eckhardt of Chicago, Illinois, who will serve as the Chief Consecrator and Homilist. Dr. Ronald C. Hill accepted the pastoral call and with his wife, his four children and five members, he founded the Love and Unity Church in November 1981. † The favor of God has taken Love and Unity from their humble beginnings to a present membership of well over 3,200. Through Pastor Hillís consistent teachings on faith, paying tithes and giving liberal offerings, the church was able to build a multi-million dollar worship facility located at 1840 S. Wilmington Avenue in the City of Compton, CA. With much fasting and continual prayer to God, Pastor Hill received a visitation and revelation from God through the Holy Spirit to transition out of the Church of God in Christ, Inc.; yet not out of the body of Christ. ìPastor Hill is yet seeking to fulfill the same mission of Christ to seek and save those which are lost. In September 2009, Pastor Hill with a vote of confidence from the local congregation voted to reincorporate under the name Love and Unity Christian Fellowship. ìThe manifestation of Godís promises continues to abide within the local ministry and its founding leader, Dr. Ronald C. Hill. To God Be the Glory for the great things He has done and will continue to do through his yielded vessel,î added the spokesman. ìI believe that God has appointed me to plant churches and to appoint qualified Pastors to assist in this end time harvest. Kingdom Harvest Christian Alliance will allow us to serve as a covering for churches and pastors who are in need of spiritual and apostolic leadership,î said Dr. Ronald C. Hill, founder of the Kingdom Harvest Christian Alliance. ìI look forward to the manifestation of God's promises through the concerted efforts of all the members of the Kingdom Harvest Christian Alliance. Our mission is to win souls to Christ, to make disciples of those who come and to help the poor.î†For more information, contact the church at (310) 604-5900 or visit www.loveandunity.org.
