Brookins AME hold Women's Day events

Two events aimed at spiritually empowering women will be held this weekend at Brookins Community A.M.E. Church, 4831 S. Gramercy Place in Los Angeles, announced Rev. Joseph C. Nixon, senior pastor.

"Bishop Dr. Jackie Green, author of  "The Hurt Lady, Spiritual Warfare Manual" will be our guest instructor for "The Hurt Lady" Workshop", on Saturday, August 14, at 9 a.m., and she will deliver the message at our Women's Day Service on Sunday, August 15, at 9 a.m.," said Pastor Nixon.

"We invite the community-at-large to join us and hear Bishop Green, a renown author and prolific preacher who will share Bible-based strategies to help believers experience wisdom, deliverance, and healing to bring you into your full calling in Christ," he added.

Bishop Green is Pastor of New Generation Christian Fellowship in Phoenix, Arizona and founder and Executive Minister of JGM-National PrayerLife Institute. JGM serves as a covering ministry for several local churches and ministers.  Also, she serves as co-pastor with her husband, Rev. Anthony Green, at Second Baptist Church of Redlands, CA.

Consecrated as a Bishop in July, 2006,  Bishop Green received her  B.A. Degree from the State University of New York, Master of Arts Degree from Fuller Theological Seminary, and Doctor of Practical Ministry from Wagner Leadership Institute of Colorado Springs, CO.  Her two latest major publications are "Spurned Into Apostleship, Overcoming Principalities, Powers and People"  and "The Hurt Lady."
