Hello World, today I offer you all positive inspiration through the form of words that grace this page. It does not matter who you are, your race, gender and creed are only important to those who offer unintelligent judgment. The one thing that matters is your belief in self! Seems simple right? Well, lack of self-assurance is the easy way out. Those of us who choose to blame others for their shortcomings tend to quote the words of a pessimist; "I can't accomplish my goals because of financial restraint", (that was my line for several years). "I can't succeed in that particular field of employment because they require one to be free from of drugs and alcohol", (I hear that often).
The point I am attempting to make is this, please take heed to the following words which are not mine yet from a person I admire greatly; "The mind is a superb instrument if used rightly. Used wrongly, however, it becomes very destructive. To put it more accurately, it is not so much that you use your mind wrongly-you usually don't use it at all. It uses you (Eckhart Tolle)."
So, the inspiration I hope to evoke from you is already within you! I am just trying to find the words to free your insecurities. For many years I have hidden behind my own. For example, "I was afraid of love, therefore I would never allow myself to care for a woman I did not perceive as perfect". I wrote poems about my forlorn heart (Lonely, 10.20.2003 published in the L.A. Sentinel 5.06.2010). That was nothing more then a journey of self-pity which shielded me from hope.
Where are you in your journey? Have you offered yourself hope after facing obstacles, like a new job after changing careers or having to trust your heart after love has chastised you for taking that risk. In my opinion, life will always offer some sort of negative issue to resolve, I say face those challenges with optimistic expectations; that way your mind will be in constant search of positive regard.
