The Angels caused traffic congestion on the I-10 freeway this weekend after sweeping the Dodgers in 3-0 series.

The Dodgers were unable to control the Angels temper at Dodgers Stadium this past weekend. Â Someone should have told the Angels to leave their attitude in Anaheim. Â The boys in red brought powerful bats to Los Angeles this weekend. I must say it was uncomfortable watching the boys in blue go down like that. Mainly because they were first place in the National League West before the Angels came to town and disrupted their rhythm; pushing them back one game behind San Diego.
It wasn't easy for the Dodgers to swallow three straight losses to their neighbors, but the Angels looked like they wanted it more. On Friday, the Angels denied Matt Kemp, Andre Ethier, James Loney and Manny Ramirez. The dream team combined 0-11 at the plate.
"They just did everything better than us," Kemp said. "We just didn't play good these three games; hopefully we can get on the road and get hot again".
Who would ever think the Angels would come to town and steal all three games? Angels Second Baseman Howie Kendrick wasn't expecting a sweep from his team.
"Our goal is to get at least two games" Kendrick said. "It would be nice to sweep this team, but I'm pretty sure those guys are not going to let that happen".
At the beginning of May both teams were having a crisis. The Angels and Dodgers were struggling offensively trying to find their identity. Â Pitching woes was a major concern for both teams going into the season. But now I can finally say that both bullpens are off life support and rehabilitation is coming along great.
Well there was a little disturbance this weekend with the Dodgers pitching staff. Â Five names were called in the bullpen Sunday, but the outcome was ineffectual. Â There's nothing to sweat about, the Dodgers always seems to find a way to overcome unstable situations.
Both teams have the potential to be champions, but only one team can be the king of LA. But I will say the Angels have earned bragging rights at least until next week when the two meet for a rematch.
The freeway series is dedicated more to the fans than the players. Â Both Angels and Dodgers fans like to come and invade on one another when their team pays each other a visit. I think the Angels fans made plans to hang out the entire series at Dodger Stadium this past weekend. There were entirely too many Angel fans in the stands. I hope Dodger fans are reading this because you have got to get out there and show more support. This is for the fans and the Angels fans won this series. Maybe that's why the Angels were able to get their first sweep at Dodger Stadium. Dodger Fans reserve your ticket for the next freeway series ASAP!
