A Wedding Poem

Thank you for sharing your future with me.

Becoming my partner, the custodian of my needs.

Thank you for choosing me, caring for me, understanding me, loving me,

when I was afraid and devotion I could not see.

Thank you for our first date, our first kiss, the first time you answered my wish, even though I lost my mind fearing you not wanting to take the risk.

Thank you for allowing me to love, freely, openly and even when I felt unworthy.

You are my blessing, my gift and believe me, I know our every day will not be spent in bliss.

So I'll say thank you now, for every meal you fix, every wound you kiss and every time you forgive me for having a sensitive fit.

I love you; I need you and thank you for being the extension of me that I could not conceive.

It is because of you that my life has greater meaning!
