52nd Annual Holy Convocation

 

The 52nd Annual Holy Convocation of the Southwest Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of California will convene on Monday, June 7th through Friday, June 11, 2010.  The Convocation will be held at the  88th Street Temple COGIC, 8825 S. Vermont Ave., Los Angeles, Ca.  90044. Elder Anthony Williams is the host pastor and   Bishop B.R. Benbow is our Founder.

The Theme for the Convocation is "Great God, Great Visions, Great Accomplishments" Daniel 2: 20-23 and    1Corinthians 2:  9-11.  The Convocation will open on Monday morning with prayer @ 10:00 am. The Gospel Explosion will be Monday night @ 7:30 pm under the direction of Dr. Iris Stevenson, Jurisdictional Minister of Music.  The Institute Hour will be Tuesday - Friday @ 6:30 pm. with Dr, Hillrie Murphy facilitating.

On Monday night the gospel message is scheduled to be brought by Elder Norman Guilford.  Dr. Hillrie Murphy will bring the gospel message on Tuesday night and Dr. William Atlas is scheduled to bring the gospel message on Wednesday night.  The official address will be delivered by our Jurisdictional Prelate, Bishop B. R. Benbow on Friday night.  Thursday is Women's day and service will begin @ 10:00 am with Morning Glory Prayer. Mother Joan Walker, Supervisor of Women will bring the gospel message on Thursday night.

Worship Service will begin @ 8:00 pm nightly.  Everyone is invited to attend this great Convocation and celebrate with us the blessings of the Lord.

Bishop B. R. Benbow is Jurisdictional Prelate.  Mother Joan Walker is Supervisor of Women.  Superintendent Frank Jones and Superintendent Noble Henson are Administrative Assistants.
